How to Clear Your Mind and Get into the State.
I have read that the average person has somewhere around 60,000 thoughts a day. Sixty Thousand. A day! I also read that about 99% of these thoughts are random, scattered, and nonsensical—basically serving no useful purpose.
Hmm…so this means the average person is only consciously choosing their thoughts around 1% of the time. (That would explain a lot!)
Okay… We’re all interested in learning how to use the law of attraction to create money and wealth, a noble and worthy endeavor. Show me the money, right? Great…Only thing is, we have to learn how to relax and quiet some of that unconscious mind chatter.
In order to attract abundance, you have to be in a relaxed yet alert state. How do we do that?
Start with the breath.
Deep breathing exercises are routinely taught to patients after major surgery as well as with phobic or anxious patients in other clinical settings because they are easy, effective, and work quickly. Deep breathing is also an integral part of yoga, which is the oldest feel-good exercise known to man (it’s been around over 5000 years). Deep breathing is a great way to relax the mind and get in the correct state for manifesting wealth and abundance.
How to do deep breathing:
- Sit or lie in a comfortable position.
- Focus on your breathing for a few breaths
- Place one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly
- Take a slow deep breath, inhaling through your nose, allowing the air to fill your belly
- Notice the hand on your belly moving out as your belly inflates like a balloon,
- Exhale slowly, observing your belly slowly deflating and your hand slowly moving back towards the body
- Repeat 3 times
- Try to keep your focus on the task at hand—inflating your belly and moving the hand out and then deflating the belly and moving the hand back.
- Next, inhale for a slow count of 2
- Exhale for a slow count of 4
- Try to keep your focus on the counting: Inhale…1….2….Exhale…1…2…3…4…Inhale…1…2…Exhale…1…2…3…4 (etc.)
That’s really all there is to it. It is a bit challenging at first, but with practice it gets easier. (To start, I suggest at least twice daily for a few minutes each time.) While you begin your practice of deep breathing, it’s perfectly normal and almost assured that aggravating or stressful thoughts will pop up out of nowhere. Don’t be alarmed. When these thoughts occur, just acknowledge them (“there’s those old thoughts again”) and refocus your mind on counting and the sensation of breathing.
Using the method above, in most cases now it takes me no more than 3-10 minutes to become completely relaxed and alert. A word of note: for me I have to be in a chair. If I am laying down, I’ll fall asleep,( which is fine when I want to fall asleep, lol). Once in my relaxed state I am in the optimal condition to attract monetary abundance.
